About the Position

๐Ÿฝ Opportunity A resort in the Turks and Caicos Islands is hiring a Sous Chef to run daily kitchen operations and food production. The offer is USD 3,500 a month, plus a separate USD 500 housing allowance and service charge and gratuity on top. Work permit and initial flights are included. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ Role - Support daily kitchen operations and food production - Supervise and train kitchen staff - Maintain food quality, health and safety standards - Manage inventory and food costs - Coordinate scheduling and staffing ๐ŸŒŽ ChefJobs Abroad Analysis Turks and Caicos is a small, high-end island market, and service charge and gratuity can meaningfully lift the base. Expect a tight-knit staff community and limited places to spend, which helps with savings but means you're on island time. The package covers a work permit, initial flights and health insurance, and an economy fare home after two years signals they expect people to stay. It works as a first overseas leadership role for a chef with four to six years behind them. It is not ideal for someone who needs regular mainland trips. โœ… Best Fit - Sous chefs (or strong CDPs) with 4โ€“6 years of culinary experience - Chefs who want service charge and gratuity as part of their income - Candidates with Caribbean or island experience (advantageous) - Cooks who are comfortable with inventory, costing and scheduling - Chefs who want health insurance, work permit and flights sorted by the employer
