About the Position
🍽 Opportunity
Niseko Black is a luxury concierge, snowsports and property management company, and its winter 2026–27 hire is a private chef who cooks breakfasts, dinners and bespoke dining in guests' own properties and in partner hotels. You're working one-to-one with a Concierge team rather than inside a big brigade. Pay is described only as a competitive seasonal wage, with a lift-pass contribution and staff accommodation assistance. The listing is dated 5 August 2026.
👨🍳 Role
- Prepare and cook breakfasts, dinners and bespoke dining experiences
- Provide private chef services at Niseko Black and partner properties
- Plan menus and accommodate dietary needs and special requests
- Present dishes consistently and keep a clean kitchen to food safety standards
- Coordinate guest dining with the Concierge team
🌎 ChefJobs Abroad Analysis
Niseko is one of the world's great powder destinations, and private chefs there cook in different kitchens most weeks, adapting to each property's setup. That's a very different skill set from a hotel line: you shop, plan, cook and plate alone, and the guests judge you directly. It's a strong move for a restaurant or hotel chef who wants to try private dining without leaving the snow, and a poor fit for someone who needs a team around them. Expect evenings, weekends and public holidays to be your working time.
