Tapley's Neighbourhood Pub is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead the culinary team at one of Whistler's most popular neighbourhood gathering places.
Famous for its welcoming atmosphere, quality pub food, live sports, and lively community vibe, Tapley's is looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys working alongside their team while overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations. You'll play a key role in maintaining high food standards, developing your team, managing costs, and ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience.

About the Role
As Kitchen Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day operation of the kitchen while remaining actively involved in service.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading kitchen operations during prep and service
Coaching, mentoring, and developing kitchen staff
Maintaining consistent food quality and presentation
Managing inventory, ordering, food costs, and labour
Ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards are upheld
Creating prep schedules and supporting efficient service
Working closely with the Front-of-House and venue leadership teams
Assisting with menu features and operational improvements
Monitoring guest feedback and implementing improvements
Leading by example to build a positive and accountable team culture

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience
- Previous experience leading or supervising a kitchen team
- Strong knowledge of food safety, inventory management, and cost control
- Experience with ordering, scheduling, and labour management
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Passion for coaching and developing kitchen staff
