About the Position

Opportunity COMO Cocoa Island is seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join its luxury resort team in the Maldives. This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of the world's most sought-after island destinations, supporting the Executive Chef in leading kitchen operations, maintaining exceptional culinary standards, and delivering unforgettable guest experiences. Role As Executive Sous Chef, you will act as second-in-command of the kitchen, overseeing daily operations, food quality, hygiene standards, inventory management, cost control, menu execution, and team leadership. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth kitchen operations while mentoring and supporting the culinary team. Key responsibilities include: Supporting and deputizing for the Executive Chef Leading kitchen operations and service standards Managing food costs, portion control, and waste reduction Maintaining hygiene and food safety standards Assisting with menu development and costing Conducting stock ordering and inventory management Coordinating with stewarding and engineering departments Training, motivating, and supervising kitchen staff Attending management meetings when required ChefJobs Abroad Analysis This is a strong opportunity for a senior chef looking to take the next step in luxury resort hospitality.
