About the Position

Spend Your Winter Cooking in the French Alps If your passion for cooking is matched only by your love for the mountains, this could be your dream seasonal job. Mountain & Tradition is looking for enthusiastic Chefs and Pastry Chefs to join their close-knit culinary team in the beautiful ski resort of Les Gets, France. Working from a central production kitchen, you'll help prepare fresh, homemade food for luxury chalets and the company's food delivery service using quality local ingredients. Whether your strengths are pastry, hot kitchen, or food preparation, you'll receive training and support from an experienced Head Chef while building valuable international experience in one of the French Alps' most popular ski destinations. The Opportunity Unlike many chalet chef positions, this role is based in a professional central production kitchen, where you'll work alongside a small team preparing meals for multiple luxury chalets. Using seasonal ingredients and carefully developed recipes, you'll help create high-quality homemade food while maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, and consistency. Your role may include pastry production, hot kitchen preparation, and assisting with chalet meal production throughout the season. Comprehensive training is provided before the season begins, making this an excellent opportunity for chefs looking to develop new skills while living in the mountains. Your Responsibilities As part of the Mountain & Tradition kitchen team, you will: Prepare fresh homemade meals using seasonal local ingredients Produce pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods Follow production sheets and standardized recipes Assist with daily food preparation for luxury chalets Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and HACCP compliant Assist with stock rotation and food storage Work efficiently as part of a professional kitchen team Support colleagues across different kitchen sections when required Help maintain the company's reputation for exceptional guest dining experiences Life at Mountain & Tradition Working for Mountain & Tradition is about much more than cooking. You'll become part of a small, supportive team that values professionalism, teamwork, and creating unforgettable guest experiences. Managers provide ongoing training and support throughout the season, while staff enjoy a healthy work-life balance that leaves time to explore the mountains, ski, snowboard, and enjoy everything Les Gets has to offer. The company also places a strong focus on sustainability, teamwork, and maintaining a respectful working environment where everyone contributes to the success of the season. ChefJobs Abroad Analysis ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is one of the strongest seasonal chef packages we've seen in the French Alps. Mountain & Tradition combines a professional kitchen environment with many of the lifestyle benefits that attract chefs to ski seasons in the first place. Rather than working alone in a chalet, you'll be part of an experienced culinary team producing consistently high-quality food for multiple luxury properties. The package is particularly impressive, with accommodation, meals, transportation, ski pass, equipment, performance bonuses, and French employment benefits included. For chefs wanting structured training, career development, and plenty of mountain time, this is an outstanding opportunity.
