About the Position

๐Ÿฝ Opportunity The Ritz-Carlton Turks & Caicos, set on Grace Bay, is hiring a Chef de Partie (Pastry) to help shape its dessert and pastry program under the Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards โ€” a supervisory seat, not an entry-level line role, for someone ready to run a pastry section, mentor junior cooks, and keep plating and presentation at a five-star bar. The appeal is straightforward: a brand-name luxury resort on one of the region's most decorated beaches, with a defined path toward Sous Pastry Chef for the right candidate. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ Role & Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate cooks and pastry staff, and determine plating and decorative food presentation Ensure correct portioning, arrangement, and garnish on every dessert leaving the kitchen Monitor prepared food quantities and keep kitchen logs for the food safety program Inform Food & Beverage service staff of specials and out-of-stock items; prepare substitutes when needed Flag any product that doesn't meet spec to management before it reaches a guest Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching kitchen employees Follow all safety and security procedures; report maintenance issues, accidents, or unsafe conditions Stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift up to 25 lbs unassisted throughout service ๐ŸŒŽ ChefJobs Abroad Analysis Grace Bay delivers genuinely postcard island life โ€” warm, calm water, powder-fine sand, and enough infrastructure on Providenciales that time off doesn't mean total isolation โ€” while a Ritz-Carlton badge adds something a standalone resort can't: structured Gold Standard training and mobility across more than 100 Marriott luxury properties worldwide. For a pastry cook, this is a genuine step up from execution-only work into supervisory territory, with a global brand name on the rรฉsumรฉ that opens doors well beyond Turks and Caicos. It's a strong trade-up for someone who wants both the lifestyle and the career leverage that comes with a recognised luxury hospitality group behind them. โœ… Best Fit Pastry cooks with 4โ€“6 years of related experience ready to move into a supervisory section-lead role Chefs with at least 2 years of supervisory experience, or ready to formalise informal team leadership Chefs who want a Marriott/Ritz-Carlton brand credential and future mobility across its global portfolio Detail-driven pastry cooks who take real pride in plating, garnish, and presentation consistency Chefs comfortable with the physical demands of a high-volume five-star pastry section Not a fit for chefs seeking a fully hands-off, senior management role โ€” this is a working section lead position
